Appliance Recycling Program

Recycling your old appliance with us can save you up to $150 annually in energy costs. And, qualifying appliances are eligible for a $30 rebate. To schedule a pick up of your old appliance call 877-395-5535 or click on the link below to schedule online.

Refrigerators and freezers must be in working condition, and must be between 10 and 30 cubic feet in size, using inside measurements. This program is funded by Hoosier Energy REC, Inc and SCI REMC and is available to residential electric consumers in Indiana on a first-come, first-serve basis until funding is expended. Customers must own the unit(s) being recycled. Limit is two units per residential address. The rebate check for each appliance will be mailed to the SCI REMC member within 4-6 weeks after the appliance collection.
